Description

The seeds of Heliotropium europeum have been shown to contain this alkaloid. Reduction with Zn and dilute H2S04 furnishes Lasiocarpine (q.v.).

Uses

Lasiocarpine N-Oxide is a natural compound found to be higher in varied tea bags, herbal drugs and honey by mass spectrometry.
