It depresses the activity of the gastro-intestinal tract, causing longer transit time of feed through the intestine, thereby enhancing digestion and absorption of nutrients. It increases weight gain and improve feed conversionprevent and control nonspecific diarrhea or wet dropping in farming animals. | | Manufacturing Process | 8-Quinolinol (mixture of 57-74% 5,7-dichloro-8-hydroxyquinoline, 23-40% 5-

synthesized by interaction of 8-hydroxyquinoline with sulfuryl chloride in
glacial acetic acid at 50°C for 1.5 hours. The reaction mixture was cooled, pH
