Sodium-difluoro(oxalato)borate, anhydrous and battery-grade with a purity of ≥99%, is a versatile electrolyte additive for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs). NaDFOB demonstrates superior compatibility with a range of solvents commonly employed in SIBs, unlike NaClO4 and NaPF6, which exhibit solvent-dependent performances. Additionally, NaDFOB is stable and does not produce any toxic or hazardous substances upon contact with air and water. A recent study found th at the incorporation of NaDFOB as an additive significantly enhances the charge-discharge capacity and cycling performance of graphite anodes. Another study suggests th at NaDFOB contributes to the formation of a stable solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) film on the surface of graphite anodes, resulting in a highly stable electrolyte/electrode interface. With these benefits, Sodium-difluoro(oxalato)borate is a promising solution for improving the performance and stability of sodium-ion batteries in various applications. |
