Under nitrogen protection, n-BuLi (3 mL, 2.5 M hexane solution, 1.50 equivalents) was added dropwise to a solution of 2,6-dichloro-4-iodopyridine (1.40 g, 5.112 mmol, 1.00 equivalents) in tetrahydrofuran (20 mL) at -78 °C. The resulting solution was stirred at -78 °C for 30 min. Trimethyl borate (580 mg, 5.582 mmol, 1.10 equivalents) was added at -78 °C, and the reaction mixture was stirred at -78 °C for 1 h. The resulting solution was stirred at room temperature for another 12 h, followed by quenching with 1.6 g of pinacol and AcOH (0.6 mL). The solid was filtered off and the liquid was concentrated under vacuum to give the title compound 2,6-Dichloropyridine-4-boronicacid (1 g, crude), as a yellow solid. |
