Compound 1-i (CAS: 1293987-55-9, 500 mg, 2.02 mmol) was used as starting material and dissolved in dichloromethane (5 mL). Subsequently, activated manganese dioxide (270 mg, 3.04 mmol) was added to the solution and the reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3 hours. Upon completion of the reaction, the mixture was filtered through a diatomaceous earth pad and the filter cake was washed with dichloromethane (5 mL, 3 times, 4 mL each). All the filtrates were combined and concentrated under reduced pressure to give a white solid 1-h (430 mg, 86% yield), which was used for subsequent reactions without further purification. The m/z of the product 1-h was measured as m/z = 249 [M + H]+ by LC-MS (ESI) analysis. | [References]
