6-Bromo-[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-A]pyridine (180 mg, 0.91 mmol) and pinacol ester of biphenylboronic acid (348 mg, 1.37 mmol) were added 1,1'-bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene palladium(II) (37 mg, 0.045 mmol) and potassium acetate (180 mg, 1.83 mmol) in tetrahydrofuran (10 mL). The reaction was carried out at 80 °C for 8 h under nitrogen protection. After completion of the reaction, it was cooled to room temperature, filtered through diatomaceous earth and the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure to afford [1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyridine-6-boronic acid pinacol ester (300 mg, yield: 74%).
