SPI-001 is a PPM1D-specific inhibitor (IC50=0.48 μM) with anticancer activity. SPI-001 inhibits PPM1D phosphatase activity and increases p53 phosphorylation in PPM1D-overexpressing human breast cancer cells. In addition, SPI-001 inhibits cell proliferation by inducing apoptosis[1].
