Huanjunzuo is produced commercially through triazole based fungicide synthesis, involving the construction of a cycloheptanol backbone substituted with a 4 chlorophenyl group and a 1,2,4 triazolyl moiety. Industrial manufacture begins with preparation of the chlorophenyl intermediate, followed by controlled cyclization to form the cycloheptanol ring.
