A method for preparing graphitic carbon nitride includes the following steps: using nitrogen-rich organic matter as raw material and graphite or silicon carbide as microwave absorber, mixing the nitrogen-rich organic matter and microwave absorber uniformly, and reacting in an electromagnetic field irradiated by microwaves, controlling the pressure at 5-35 kPa, the microwave irradiation power at 2-10 kW, and the heating rate at 50-500°C/min, and holding the reaction at 450-700°C for 5-30 min to obtain graphitic carbon nitride; wherein the nitrogen-rich organic matter is one of melamine, dicyandiamide, cyanamide, thiourea, and urea. |

Graphitic carbon nitride is a metal-free photocatalyst with a semiconductor absorption at wavelengths of 460 nm[1]. | [Definition]
ChEBI: Hydrogen cyanide is a one-carbon compound consisting of a methine group triple bonded to a nitrogen atom It has a role as a human metabolite, an Escherichia coli metabolite and a poison. It is a hydracid and a one-carbon compound. It is a conjugate acid of a cyanide. It is a tautomer of a hydrogen isocyanide. | [References]
