Sodium difluorophosphate is used in sodium-ion battery research in liquid electrolyte formulations as an additive. It is intended to optimize the performance and stability of sodium-ion batteries. When used as an additive in the liquid electrolyte, it has been shown to improve the efficiency of sodium metal deposition and dissolution, reduce overpotential, and enhance the stability of the solid-electrolyte interphase (SEI) layer on the negative electrode, leading to high coulombic efficiency, excellent rate capability, and long cycle life. |
