ONO-AE 248 is a selective EP3 receptor agonist with cardioprotective activity. ONO-AE 248 reduces myocardial infarction size by selectively binding to the EP3α receptor in mice. The cardioprotective effect of ONO-AE 248 is independent of hemodynamic effects.
