Pine oil is widely used as a frothing agent in mineral flotation (copper ore, lead-zinc ore, and other non-ferrous metal ores, as well as pulverized coal). In the United States, the disinfectant and cleaning agent manufacturing industry is the largest user of pine oil, consuming 17,000 tons in 1979. |
