Crotonamide is used as a pharmaceutical synthesis intermediate. Carboxylic acid amides are important compounds used as intermediates in the synthesis of various chemical products, including medical and pharmaceutical substances and electronic materials. A study has documented a method in which ethyl 4,5-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,3-oxazole-2-carboxylate as a carboxylic acid ester was reacted with formamide in the presence of sodium methanol as a metal alcohol salt to obtain a carboxylic acid amide known as 4,5-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,3-oxazole-2-carboxamide in a yield of 71.9%. |
