(R)-Hydroxychloroquine is an isomer of hydroxychloroquine .1 (R)-Hydroxychloroquine (2.5-20 mg/ml) reduces the rate of insulin degradation in isolated liver homogenates from non-diabetic and diabetic rats. Formulations containing hydroxychloroquine have been used in the prevention or treatment of malaria, as well as in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus. | [References]
