VinylTerminatedEthylene-DimethylsiloxaneCopolymer is a high-molecular-weight trifunctional organosilicon prepolymer with reactive vinyl groups, and it is a transparent liquid. It is soluble in IPA but insoluble in water and aromatic solvents. Vinyl silicone oil can be applied to most polymers, such as coatings, plastics, and resins. When reacting with these polymers, some of the organosilicon can be incorporated into the polymer structure. The vinyl functional groups provide excellent adhesive properties to the polymer. Typically, it can react with polymers containing epoxy groups, carboxylic acids, esters, and isocyanates. |
