Pigment Yellow 5 is also called Sunlight Resistant Yellow 5G; Pigment Yellow 5G; Hansa Yellow 5G. Pigment Yellow 5 is a greenish yellow loose powder with bright color and melting point of 206℃. It is unstable in the presence of heat. Soluble in ethanol, acetone and benzene and other solvents, can get homogeneous heterocrystals. Light yellow in concentrated sulfuric acid, light yellow precipitate after dilution, dark yellow in 10% hot sodium hydroxide solution. Bright color, poor media light fastness, solvent resistance and heat resistance. Some foreign products are mixtures. |
