Example 307b Synthesis of 1,3-dimethyl-1H-indazol-5-amine: To a 95% ethanol (30 mL) solution of 307a (crude, 2.5 mmol) was added hydrazine hydrate (1.25 g, 25.0 mmol) and Pd/C (100 mg) and the reaction was carried out under nitrogen protection. The reaction mixture was stirred at 50 °C for 1.5 hours. Upon completion of the reaction, the mixture was cooled to room temperature and filtered through a diatomaceous earth pad. The filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure and the residue was recrystallized from anhydrous ethanol (5 mL) to give 307b as a white solid (340 mg, 84% yield in two steps).MS-ESI: [M + H]+ 162.3. | [References]
