Hazard Information | Back Directory | [Definition]
The chemical compound with neuropharmacological properties and pseudo-jujubogenin moieties, known as aglycone units, is Bacoside A (dammarane-type triterpenoid saponin). This compound is composed of bacopaside III, bacopaside X, bacoside A3, and bacopasaponin C. Bacoside A1 is 3-O-(α-l-arabinofuranosyl[1→3])-α-l-arabinopyranoside, Bacoside A2 is 3-O-α-l-arabinopyranosyl-(1→5)-[α-l-arabinofuranosyl-(1→6)]-α-d-glucofuranoside, and Bacoside A3 is 3-O-α-l-arabinofuranosyl-(1→2)-[β-d-glucopyranosyl-(1→3)]-β-d-glucopyranoside. Bacoside A1 is a minor saponin from Bacopa monnieri[1-2]. | [References]
