Step 2: N,N-dimethyl-3-nitrobenzenesulfonamide (850 mg, 3.7 mmol) was dissolved in methanol (20 mL). Wet Pd/C catalyst (85 mg) was added to the solution. The reaction mixture was stirred overnight under hydrogen atmosphere. Upon completion of the reaction, the catalyst was removed by filtration and the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure to afford 3-amino-N,N-dimethylbenzenesulfonamide (600 mg, 80% yield) as a white solid.LCMS (Method B): 0.48 [M + H]+ = 201.1. | [References]
