UDP-GalNAz disodium (UDP-N-azidoacetylgalactosamine disodium) is the analogue of UDP-GalNAc. UDP-GalNAc is the donor substrate of many N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferases, enzymes which transfer GalNAc from the nucleotide sugar to a saccharide or peptide acceptor[1]. UDP-GalNAz (disodium) is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Azide group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction (CuAAc) with molecules containing Alkyne groups. It can also undergo strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups. | [Biological Activity]
