Hazard Information | Back Directory | [Description]
Pulsatilla saponin D is an oleanane-type saponin that has been found in P. koreana and has anticancer activity.1 It is cytotoxic to A549, SKOV3, SK-MEL-2, and HCT15 cells (EC50s = 11.25, 13.17, 3.04, and 11.86 μM, respectively). Pulsatilla saponin D (6 mg/kg per day) reduces tumor volume in a murine Lewis lung carcinoma model. | [Uses]
Pulsatilla Saponin D shows antiangiogenic and antitumor activity. | [Definition]
ChEBI: Pulsatilla saponin D is a triterpenoid. It has a role as a metabolite. | [in vivo]
Pulsatilla saponin D (6.4 mg/kg) exhibits anti-tumor activity in Lewis lung carcinoma model[4]. Animal Model: | 2x2x2 mm3 tumor fragments of a Lewis lung carcinoma (LLC) transplanted s.c. into the auxiliary region of the BDF1 mice[4]. | Dosage: | 6.4 mg/kg. | Administration: | Intraperitoneally on the 1 st to 7 th and 9 th to 14 th day. | Result: | Had such a potent antitumor effect (IR, 82 %) on a solid tumor, which is higher than Adriamycin (IR, 64%). |
