 2-Oxo-5-vinylpyrrolidine-3-carboxamide is obtained from (2E)-1,4-Dibromo-2-butene (D425545) which is used as a reagent in the preparation of diaminoalkenes though copper-mediated diamination reaction. 2-Oxo-5-vinylpyrrolidine-3-carboxamide is also used for vigabatrin separation from, by HPLC, macroporous polymeric column in analytical study.
