5-[(Chloromethyl)sulfonyl]-1-phenyl-1H-tetrazole is an intermediate in synthesizing cis-1-Chloro-1,5-hexadiene (C364015), a derivative of Allyl Chloride (A549715), which is a chlorinated hydrocarbon that is considered to be a hazardous air pollutant because of its potential human health effects. Allyl chloride is also a known mutagen towards Salmonella typhimurium, and induces gene conversion in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. |
