在室温下,将56 g 2-萘酚和86.6 mL甲苯混合,制备成溶液。向该溶液中加入N-甲基-N-(3-甲基苯基)硫代甲酰氯(式D化合物)、40 g碳酸钠、0.8 g溴化四丁基铵以及200 mL甲苯。反应完成后,将反应混合物加热回流5小时。反应结束后,冷却至室温,用水洗涤反应混合物,干燥有机层,随后减压浓缩。最后,通过乙醇重结晶纯化产物,得到100 g O-萘-2-基 甲基(间甲苯基)氨基硫代甲酸酯(式E化合物)。
