以N-羟基丁二酰亚胺和丁二酸为原料合成双(2,5-二氧代吡咯烷-1-基)丁二酸酯的一般步骤:向丁二酸(30 g,254 mmol,1.0当量)的THF(50 mL)溶液中加入N-羟基丁二酰亚胺(64 g,556 mmol,2.2当量)的THF(50 mL)溶液。在0℃下搅拌,缓慢滴加N,N'-二环己基碳二亚胺(DCC,11.5 g,55.8 mmol,0.22当量)的THF(50 mL)溶液。滴加完毕后,将反应混合物在室温下搅拌过夜。通过液相色谱-质谱联用(LC-MS)监测反应进程。反应完成后,过滤收集固体,浓缩滤液得到粗产物。用THF和乙醇依次洗涤所得固体,最终得到双(2,5-二氧代吡咯烷-1-基)丁二酸酯(24 g,收率27%)为白色固体。
