RNA结合基元蛋白24，也被称为RBM24，由RBM24基因编码。它是肌肉特异性替代剪接的主要调节剂。它通过促进几个多能性和/或分化基因的mRNA前替代剪接事件，参与胚胎干细胞（ESC）向心脏细胞分化的过渡。P53表达由RBM24通过mRNA翻译进行调节，RBM24的过表达抑制了P53mRNA的翻译，而Rbm24的敲低增加了。
