Chemical Properties
Odorless, tasteless, non-toxic white or beige powder or granules. Dispersed with a greasy feeling. Insoluble in water, organic solvents and various oils and lipids. Almost completely soluble in hot caustic soda solution.
Uses
Montmorillonite K10 is effective in removing pigments, pheromones, and off-flavors from edible vegetable oils. As an adsorbent, it is used extensively in the removal process of harmful substances such as organophosphorus, organosulfur, and aflatoxin. It can polymerize olefins into advanced lubricants, and is also good in radioactive wastewater treatment. Widely used in petrochemical, pharmaceutical and other fields.
