Uses
All Prestige Antibodies Powered by Atlas Antibodies are developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project (www.proteinatlas.org)and as a result, are supported by the most extensive characterization in the industry. The Human Protein Atlas project can be subdivided into three efforts: Human Tissue Atlas, Cancer Atlas, and Human Cell Atlas. The antibodies that have been generated in support of the Tissue and Cancer Atlas projects have been tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues and through the recent efforts of the Human Cell Atlas project, many have been characterized by immunofluorescence to map the human proteome not only at the tissue level but now at the subcellular level. Anti-CMTM6 antibody produced in rabbit has been used in immunofluorescence, immunoblotting and immunoprecipitation.
Uses
Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: ICC/IF: 1:100-1:1000, IHC-P: 1:100-1:1000, WB: 1:500-1:3000. Not yet tested in other applications. Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the end user.
General Description
CKLF like MARVEL transmembrane domain containing 6 (CMTM6) is a type-3 transmembrane protein. It is encoded by the gene mapped to human chromosome 3p23. CMTM6 is ubiquitously expressed. The encoded protein belongs to CMTM family and is characterized with a MARVEL domain comprising at least three transmembrane helices.
Biochem/physiol Actions
CKLF like MARVEL transmembrane domain containing 6 (CMTM6) regulates the activity of programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) protein. Polymorphism in the gene increases the risk of susceptibility to coronary artery disease (CAD).
