1,7-DICHLOROHEPTANE Chemical Properties,Uses,Production
Application
1,7-Dichloroheptane is a dichlorohaloalkanes compound that can be used as a pharmaceutical synthesis intermediate and an organic synthesis intermediate. It is mainly used in laboratory research and development processes and chemical and pharmaceutical synthesis processes.
Synthesis
In a 1000ml reaction vessel, add 1,7-heptanediol 132g (1mol), chlorinated reagent concentrated hydrochloric acid 220ml (2.2mol), triethylamine hydrochloride Et3N.HCl137g, and then another 30min-60min to raise the temperature to 100-110 , timed the reaction until the end of the reaction of no raw materials (holding time 2-3h). Slightly cooled down to, concentrated to evaporate all the concentrated hydrochloric acid, and recovery of concentrated hydrochloric acid, concentrated dry material, add 200 ml 3 ethyl acetate, three times extraction, collection of ethyl acetate layer, distillation and collection to get the dichlorohalogenoalkanes 1,7-dichloroheptane, weighed the weight of the product is 149.6 g, molar yield of 88.5%.
