Description

Romurtide is a muramyl dipeptide which augments the production of G-CSF. The compound is indicated as an immunomodulator for the treatment of leukopenia caused by anticancer chemotherapy/radiotherapy and also thrombopenia.

Chemical Properties

White powder, odorless and tasteless. Melting point 176-178℃. [α]D20+24.9° (C=1, methanol). pKa5.70. solubility at 20°C: dimethylformamide 1g/72ml; methanol 1g/190ml; ethanol 1g/330ml. several insoluble in acetone, acetonitrile, chloroform or water. Acute toxicity LD50, female mice, male and female rats, dogs (mg/kg): 436, 625, 761, 801, >200 subcutaneous injection.
