PROCION BLUE H-5R Chemical Properties, Uses, Production

Uses

Reactive Blue 13 (CAS# 12236-84-9) is an organic dye used in the textile industry, and a water-soluble pollutant.

Preparation

4-Amino-5-hydroxynaphthalene-2,7-disulfonic acidand 2,4,6-Trichloro-1,3,5-triazine first condensation, 3-Amino-4-hydroxynaphthalene-1,5-disulfonic aciddiazo, and the generation of condensation product matches, and copper sulfate, sodium acetate and hydrogen peroxide complexation, four and salting-out.

Properties and Applications

blue. Dark blue powder, soluble in water, not sensitive to that fights. The strong sulfuric acid for pure blue, diluted into a navy; In the nitric acid for brown.
