Direct Blue 151 Chemical Properties, Uses, Production

Uses

Direct Blue 151 is mainly used for dyeing cellulosic fibers such as cotton, linen, and viscose. It can also be used for dyeing viscose/nylon blended fabrics, as well as leather and paper. Post-treatment with copper sulfate during dyeing can improve lightfastness. Post-treatment with formaldehyde can improve washfastness. A direct copper salt blue M has been developed using L-acid instead of NW-acid, with a slightly darker blue hue than direct copper salt blue 2R.

Preparation

3,3′-Dimethoxylbenzidine double nitriding, first and 4-Hydroxynaphthalene-1-sulfonic acid conditions and 7-Amino-4-hydroxynaphthalene-2-sulfonic acid coupling.

Properties and Applications

red light blue. Blue-black powder. Soluble in water for blue purple or purple solution, and adequate soluble in ethanol for red light purple. The strong sulfuric acid in blue or green for Tracy blu-ray, diluted for purple. The dye solution to join strong hydrochloric acid for purple, have precipitation; Add thick red or purple sodium hydroxide solution for red wine. Cellulose fiber of dyeing, dye devoured rate is very good, temperature in 100 ℃, the largest affinity, discharge the gender is good. When dyeing with copper sulphate treatment can improve a resistance fastness, withformaldehyde treatment can improve washing fastness. Mainly usedfor cotton, linen, rayon and other cellulose fibers, rayon / brocade fabric dyeing, leather and paper pulp can also be used for coloring.
