Biological Activity
2-oleoyl glycerol (2-OG) acts as an agonist for G protein-coupled receptor 119 (GPR119) in vitro and stimulates glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) secretion in vivo.
in vivo
2-Oleoylglycerol (20 μg/mouse in 0.2 mL PBS, i.v., three times a week for 6 weeks) induces liver fibrosis in a non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) model through promoting TGF-β1 production in liver MΦs[3].
