Uses

tert-Butyl N-(2-Bromo-6-fluorophenyl)carbamate can be used in the preparation of indolines, isoquinolinones, and indoles by palladium-catalyzed annulation of substituted haloanilines or substituted halobenzamides with norbornadiene as an acetylene synthon. It can be useful in the preparation of ring-fluorinated N-Boc methyleneindolines via ortho lithiation and bromination of fluorinated anilines followed by nucleophilic addition of propargyl bromide and radical-induced ring closure. It can be useful in the synthesis of indoles via intramolecular 5-endo-dig carbocupration from N-aryl-ynamides.
