Paederosidic acid methyl ester has an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, used for content determination/identification/pharmacological experiments, etc.
Biological Activity
Paederosidic acid methyl ester is an ATP-sensitive K+ channel activator isolated from P. scandens. It exhibits significant central analgesic activity, increasing pain threshold by activating ATP-sensitive K+ channels in the brain and at the spinal cord level.
