Vat Orange 9 Chemical Properties,Uses,Production

Chemical Properties

Yellowish brown powder. Insoluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, soluble in tetrahydronaphthalene, xylene. Dark blue in concentrated sulfuric acid, produces yellowish brown precipitate when diluted. Bluish red in alkaline insurance powder reducing solution, orange in acidic solution.

Preparation

8,16-Pyranthrenedione called. (a) 1-(2-Methyl-9,10-dioxoanthracene-1-yl)-2-methylanthracene-9,10-dione in 350 ~ 380 ℃ heat alone, or in low temperature with dehydrant processing, take off 2 Moore water; (b) 1-(2-Methyl-9,10-dioxoanthracene-1-yl)-2-methylanthracene-9,10-dioneaqueous cream content (with or without ammonia or salt all but), in 230 ~ 250 ℃ and under pressure heating 10 to 12 hours; (C) 1-(2-Methyl-9,10-dioxoanthracene-1-yl)-2-methylanthracene-9,10-dioneand Etanol/Potassium hydroxide heating 10 to 12 hours; (d) 1,6-Dibenzoylpyrenewith Aluminium chloride and Sodium chloride melting, and access to oxygen.

Synthesis

5,5'-Bisbenzoylamino-1,1'-dianthrimide- 2,2'carbazole , Indanthren Golden- Orange 3G, is prepared from 5,5'- bisbenzoylamino-1,1'-dianthrimide by ring closure in concentrated sulfuric acid .

Properties and Applications

yellow orange. Orange powder. Soluble in 1, 2, 3, 4-Tetrahydronaphthalene and Xylene, slightly soluble in alcohol. In the dark for the strong sulfuric acid, dilute yellow brown after precipitation. Alkaline reduction for blue-ray red body hidden color; Acid reduction to orange color body hidden. This product for light brittle dye, cotton fiber in the sunlight has accelerated. With light brittle, general is not used for cotton cloth of monochromatic dyeing, spelling color also should control consumption, but also can directly printing and the discharge, also can be used in viscose, silk dyeing. Dye polyester/cotton blended fabric, of polyester dyeing serious.
