Uses
2'-Fluoroacetophenone is used as starting reagent in the synthesis of ascididemin. It is used to produce 1-(2-piperidin-1-yl-phenyl)-ethanone by reaction with piperidine.

General Description
The enantioselective reduction of 2′-fluoroacetophenone has been investigated.
Synthesis
There are two methods to synthesize o-fluoroacetophenone, one is the reaction of -bromoacetophenone with hydrogen fluoride in the presence of pyridine, and the other is the reaction of fluoroacetyl chloride with benzene in the presence of aluminum trichloride, which can also obtain o-fluoroacetophenone, and then the product can be made by purification through refining.
