Description
Sodium methyl cocoyl taurate is the salt derived from coconut fatty acid amide of N-methyltaurine. It is a soft white paste that is prized as a gentle foaming surfactant. It is also known as N-Methyl-N-Coconut Acid Taurate and is often used in skin cleansers and moisturizers. As a cleansing ingredient, it's known to be mild and gentle but effective in foaming and moisturizing the skin.
Uses
Sodium methyl cocoyl taurate functions as a surfactant in cleansers. It enables water and oil to blend well, which makes the mixture a good cleansing agent. However, it cleanses impurities without stripping your skin's natural pH, keeping it smooth and soft even after a wash. Due to its gentle foaming properties, it is used in several personal hygiene segments like face cleansers, toothpastes, shampoos, face masks, body washes, hand cleansers, scrubs and anti acne formulations.
