Description
Zinc Citrate is an essential trace mineral and a factor in the maintenance of good health as it supports and protects the immune system and helps the body fight against diseases. Zinc is an important antioxidant nutrient. It is necessary for protein synthesis, wound healing, for blood stability, normal tissue function, and aids in the digestion and metabolism of phosphorus. It also governs the contractility of muscles and maintains the body’s alkaline balance. Zinc Citrate can be used as a dietary supplement and as a nutrient. This product is known to be used in oral care products.

Synthesis
Take 10.94kg of citric acid, add 44L of distilled water, stir to dissolve, filtered, filtrate temperature to 40 ~ 42 ; another zinc oxide (100 mesh) 6.35kg, add 26L of distilled water, stirred into a dilute pasty suspension, 100 rpm under vigorous stirring to gradually add the citric acid solution, continue to stir and keep warm at 40 ~ 42 until the reaction solution is clear, continue to stir! 5 minutes, add 0.1% activated carbon stirring for 10 minutes, while hot filtered, filtrate placed at room temperature for 24 ~ 48 hours, pour off the supernatant, filtration, collection of precipitated crystals, the crystals will be washed twice with distilled water to the washings for pH = 6, pumped dry, placed at 60 C drying, that is, to obtain the white zinc citrate,. The collection of zinc citrate was 14.2 kg, the yield was 82.1%, and the purity reached 98.2%.
