Reactive Black 8 Chemical Properties, Uses, Production

Uses

Reactive Black 8 can be used for dyeing cotton and viscose fibers, exhibiting good colorfastness. It is typically used only for dyeing gray or adjusting luster. It can also be combined with Reactive Brilliant Orange KG and Reactive Brilliant Blue to create coffee color, or with Reactive Brilliant Orange KR to create gray. It can also be used for direct printing on silk and cotton-vinyl alcohol blends, and for two-bath dyeing of polyester-cotton blends.

Preparation

2-Amino-4-nitrophenol diazo, and 4-Amino-5-hydroxynaphthalene-2,7-disulfonic acidcoupling, chromium complexation, and 2,4,6-Trichloro-1,3,5-triazine condensation, with four ammonia, and salting-out.

Properties and Applications

blue ash. Black powder. The strong sulfuric acid for purple, diluted still for purple; In nitric acid for black purple, diluted into a navy; Water solution is blue black, add 1 Moore sodium hydroxide solution is still black, continue to join insurance powder into light yellow, add a boric acid sodium is still light yellow. Used for cotton, viscose, linen, silk, polyamide fiber and wool dyeing or of the volume of disseminated and direct printing.
