Synthesis

Measure 150mL of anhydrous methanol in a 250mL round-bottomed flask, slowly add SOCl2 (8.0mL, 108mmol) dropwise, and then add 10g of L-cystine to the reaction solution in batches. After returning to room temperature, refluxed at 60C for 5 h. At the end of the reaction, the solvent was evaporated, and L-cystine dimethyl ester dihydrochloride was obtained by 1:1 crystallization with methanol and petroleum ether, white solid.
