Chemical Properties
Dissolved in water, the aqueous solution is date-red, add concentrated hydrochloric acid color remains unchanged, still date-red; add concentrated sodium hydroxide solution is wine-red. Dissolved in ethanol is magenta color. Dark blue in concentrated sulfuric acid, ruby red after dilution.

Properties and Applications
Claret. Deep dark reddish brown powder, soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol for product red. The strong sulfuric acid dyes for blue, diluted into red. The water solution is purple caramel, add after strong hydrochloric acid color unchanged; Add thick sodium hydroxide solution to red wine. Levelness and white sex medium. Copper ions in dyeing color shade the dark, encounter iron ion colored light blue and dark micro. Suitable for wool, silk, polyamide fiber and its blended fabric dyeing and printing directly, can also be used for leather shading. General for dyed dark.
