Uses

3-Chloropropyltriethoxysilane is the main raw  material for preparing Si-69, KH-550 and other silane coupling agents.  It is also used as a rubber processing aid to couple inorganic fillers  in various halogenated rubber to improve various physical and mechanical  properties. It can also be used to synthesize organosilicon compounds  containing quaternary ammonium cations, as antifungal and odor-proof  finishing agents, with special bactericidal, odor-proof, antistatic and  surface activity.

Synthesis

(1) Reaction process: Ru-B/γ-Al2O3 catalyst with 0.5% loading was uniformly filled in a fixed bed and purged by nitrogen for 5 min, after which the temperature was raised to 115C. The reaction was carried out at a speed of 120 r/min with a stirrer. Then 3-chloropropene and triethoxysilane were put into a stirring kettle according to a molar ratio of 1:1.5, with a stirrer speed of 120 r/min and a stirring time of 1h, and the mixed feedstock liquid was obtained after mixing uniformly. The mixed raw material liquid was passed through the fixed bed at an air velocity of 1.5 g/h/g Cat to obtain the mixed product after reaction.
(2) Purification process: the mixed product after reaction is passed into the distillation kettle, the distillation temperature is firstly warmed up to 45C, and then warmed up to 10C every 0.5h, until it is warmed up to 75C and then distilled for 0.5h at the end of the process, the pressure of the whole process of distillation is -0.1MP. The bottom material after distillation is passed into the distillation tower, and the tower kettle of the distillation tower is warmed up to 150C with the pressure of -0.1MP, and the materials at the top of the tower are collected, and the product is obtained. get the product.
