Methyl 3-Methyl-3-(methylamino)butanoate is a useful synthetic intermediate. It is used in the preparation of substituted tetrahydropyrimidinoimidazolone derivatives and analogues for use as gamma secretase inhibitors. It is also used in the preparation of ester derivatives of substituted 3-pyrrolidinols for their anticholinergic activity.
