コバルト酸リチウム 化学特性,用途語,生産方法
解説
出発物質として炭酸リチウムLi2CO3と酸化コバルトCo3O4とを用い，700～900 ℃ 程度の高温で空気中で焼成して合成できるコバルト酸リチウム．
性質
層状岩塩構造(α-NaFeO2構造)とよばれる結晶構造をもち，結晶対称性はR3"mである．その結晶構造を保ったまま，層間にリチウムを挿入(インターカレーション)·脱離(デインターカレーション)することができるため，リチウムイオン二次電池用の正極材料として用いられている．LiCoO2のLiをすべて放出すると，電気容量としては273.8 mAh g－1 であるが，0.5以上放出するとその結晶構造が崩れるため，実質的な理論容量は137 mAh g－1 となる．
用途
リチウムイオン電池の正極材料に用いられる。
化学的特性
dark gray powder(s), a=0.2817nm, c=1.4059 nm; can be prepared by reacting Li2CO3 or LiOH·H2O with CoCO3 at 850°C–900°C for 24 h in air; used in ceramics and as an insertion electrode in Li battery systems; has fluxing properties of lithium oxide, and enhances adhesion similar to cobalt oxide [HAW93] [STR93] [DAH90] [GUM92]
