Use
The botanical properties of pansy extract (Viola tricolor) include soothing, healing, and cleansing. Among pansy extract’s active constituents are saponins, salicylic compounds, tannins, and flavonoids (e.g., rutin, violantin, scoparin, vitexine, saponaretin, orientin), volatile oils, and the glycosides of the methyl ester of salycilic acid. It is recommended for use in dry skin preparations and for skin problems of various types.
