Betulin-3-acetate Usage And Synthesis
Uses3-O-Acetylbetulin is a derivative of Betulin (HY-N0083), a sterol regulatory element-binding protein (SREBP) inhibitor. 3-O-Acetylbetulin can be utilized in synthesis of other betulin derivatives[1].
Biological Activity3-Acetyl betulin is a pentacyclic triterpenoid and derivative of the cholesterol biosynthesis inhibitor betulin .1,2 It is an intermediate in the synthesis of various lupane and germanicane triterpenes and saponins with anticancer activity.
