Uses	(R)-Pregabalin is a GABA analogue used as an anticonvulsant, Anxiolytic analgesic used to treat peripheral neuropathic pain and fibromyalgia (less potent than the S-Enantiomer).
Synthesis	Hexanoic acid,3-(aminomethyl)-5-methyl-, (3R)- was synthesized by the resolution of racemic amide with (S)-1-phenylethylamine in chloroform and ethanol followed by Hofmann reaction^[1].
