在此过程中，反应混合物和所有添加的溶液均保持在0°C。4-苄氧基苯胺盐酸盐（3.00g，12.5mmol）加入到浓盐酸中。HCl（25mL），在0°C下搅拌10分钟，然后在15分钟内逐滴加入NaNO2（852mg，12.3mmol）的水（6mL）溶液。将混合物再搅拌15分钟，然后加入SnCl2（6.40g，33.1mmol）的浓溶液。aq。滴加HCl（7.5mL）。将反应混合物搅拌1小时并过滤，得到灰白色沉淀，用水洗涤并用Et2O研磨，得到标题化合物2-乙酰基-5-溴噻吩，收率（3.01g，96%）。
