| Production Methods | Imazaquin ammonium is produced by first synthesising the technical-grade imazaquin through the standard multistep heterocyclic route used for imidazolinone herbicides, where the quinoline and imidazolinone fragments are constructed separately and then coupled to yield the active acid.
